Pink, Pleated, and Polished

Earrings (BLK), Button Down (Target), Midi Skirt (JCP), Boot Wedges (Target)

Lately I just feel like I have entered a new phase of my life. I've started my Bachelor's program and night classes (which is cray inducing) and with that comes finding and internship and taking some tentative first steps into my big girl panties. And with comes a certain style twist, even just ever so slightly. I have never been and will never be a slacks and blazer girl. I have been a giantess my whole life and me and pants that don't have a stretchy waist band, have never hit it off. It is dang near IMPOSSIBLE to find slacks with an XL inseam, trust me and save yourself the trouble. So with that, I opt the dress/legging and blazer/twirly skirt route.

Some people often claim to be ballin on a budget, with a savings account containing a years rent. *Flips hair and eats Baked Lays and cheese for dinner* So when I'm craving a little fashion therapy, I see visions of Target and (the new and improved) JCPennys in my head.... Speaking of, seen the new teaser ads? Consider me there, empty wallet and all.

Twirlin' my way to success y'allllll.

Forever Fun

Purple Booties (DSW), Leather Skirt (Target), Jacket (Lauren Conrad for Kohls), Ear Bling (F21), Concert Tee (ournameisfun.com)

In case you weren't aware, this is going to be a great year of music. If you don't care about life and somehow missed the Grammy's, allow me to catch you up: Katy Perry has boobs, LL Cool J talks a lot, Adele is still a fairy princess, the world of twitter needs a Jack White music lesson, Justin Timberlake is KING OF ALL, and Fun. are on top of the worrrrld. I have been a big 'ol Fun. lover since the release of their very first single back in the day and have been belting them out in my car ever since. Not to mention jumping up and down with a couple hundred other overly excited people last spring at by far one of the BEST concerts of my life... which is why my best friend immediately got us tickets for this years show (BOOM). Consider this outfit my own personal celebration of their success.

Here in Dallas, people don't really get "dressed" up. There's just no occasion worth getting out of jeans for some people. I am NOT one of those people. So I find excuses to get all dolled up, even if it is just going out to dinner with the rooms. Strolling around town and out-fabbing everyone is pretty much our favorite past time.

If you want some super fab Fun. gear of your own, or want to join in on their upcoming tour madness, you can clickity-click on over to ournameisfun.com

Be an explosion of color this week.

Frozen Floral

Sweater (Target), Brocade Denim (Kohls), Boots (DSW), Necklace (Lucky Brand)

I am BEYOND sad to see the chilly days of our wintery month pass. From now on wearing sweaters won't be out of necessity, but purely fashion stubbornness.

New Years Resolutions to me, are just things that we should already be striving for from day to day. So I came up some personal style goals to challenge myself. One of which was to where more monochromatic outfits, and one being to wear more blue! BOOM. Check it off the list in one. Do you ever look in your closet and find a sea of very same colors? It's not like you have anything against these other colors, they don't usually deserve such ill treatment. They just somehow slip through the cracks! Well my blue banishment is officially lifted.

What are some of your Fashion Resolutions?

Step outside your color safe zone, you will presently suprised.

Don't mind me, going to go live in my brocade denim forever now.
